The Postgraduate Building at the University of Navarra, which was inaugurated in October, 2018, in Madrid, is located in and connected to the Navarra University Clinic building which became operational the previous year. The new campus, baptised Alumni, with capacity for 600-700 students, is contained in an extremely light and practical space of over 13,500 square metres distributed across 5 floors. The building has several green areas, classrooms envisaged for dynamic and interactive classes, work rooms, libraries and an amphitheatre. All of the rooms have access to a large atrium which is intended to be an informal space that allows students of the different postgraduate courses to interact. Just like the building that houses the Clinic, the emergency lighting used is that of Daisalux. In exterior areas, Lens has been installed in its watertight version for walls, in the library or the atrium the wall solution Block, Ikus signalling the escape route direction in the classrooms and, in all of the rooms, the Izar emergency luminaires flush-mounted on the ceiling. Paying close attention to efficiency and sustainability, José Ángel Medina Murua and Juan José Ruiz del Pozo signed off on this categorical piece of architecture, integrally practical and functional for both teachers and pupils alike.
