Located in the Costa Cachagua condominium, Zapallar, Chile, Casa Q3 is presented as an organic architectural project where a game of curves and voids invite us to enter the project and discover the impressive sea view.
The project is developed on three levels of broken facades, strategically designed to capture dynamic and panoramic views of the ocean from different angles. The volumetric configuration not only responds to the views, but also plays with light and shadow, creating a changing spatial experience throughout the day. Each angle is meticulously planned to offer unique and immersive experiences, in tune with the beauty and serenity of the surrounding landscape.
At the entrance level, we find a first volume made mainly of concrete and stone, and an imposing curve that defines the geometry of the entire project. A “vertical void” acts as an entrance atrium and a conduit for natural light that filters into the interior of the project, also managing to visually connect different levels and interior areas.
On the upper level, following the gesture of the main curve, a curved block faces the sea, housing the master bedroom, completely clad in thermo-treated wood.
The lower level of the house houses the bedrooms and children's areas, with a design that optimizes space and encourages individual privacy. This level integrates seamlessly with the exterior landscape through direct access to the garden and views of the sea, creating a welcoming environment for family life.
The curve not only breaks with traditional straight lines, but also suggests movement and fluidity, leading us away from the access towards the ravine where the sun sets.
