Sport Hotel Bovec

In town of Bovec, a tourist center of Bovško and upper Soča valley, SoNo arhitekti designed a sport hotel. The location is surrounded by high Alpine peaks and Soča and Koritnica rivers. An impressive peak called Svinjak rises above the town and gives it a distinctive panorama. Miran Kambič Miran Kambič Miran Kambič Miran Kambič Attractive views of the surrounding mountains and the shape of the plot itself determined the design of the hotel. There are two elongated rectangular solids, one parallel to the western boundary of the plot and the other to the eastern boundary. Where the two meet, a larger open space is formed that acts as a representative entrance lobby. It makes an impression with its height, namely it... More

Les Haras de Strasbourg

We aim for the overall project was to come up with a wholly contemporary response to the historic site with which they had been entrusted: a project with an appropriate and pared back aesthetic, whose every detail referenced modernity, sophistication and comfort. Nicolas Mathéus We have deliberately chosen to limit the range of materials used; solid wood, natural full hide leather and blackened or brushed metal to transpose the original life of this emblematic Strasbourg building into something resolutely contemporary and simple. Nicolas Mathéus For the restaurant, a flight of stairs rising up to the first floor is the first thing that catches your attention. The 32 wooden steps, their visible structure made of raw... More

Mutigny Resort Hotel

Inspired by the natural beauty of the site overlooking the vine covered hills of France’s Champagne region, Studio Jouin Manku has designed, built and delivered a new spa hotel in Mutigny.  Nicolas Mathéus At it essence, the goal was the discreet insertion of a 101 rooms hotel/spa into the landscape. The architecture assures a constant visual connection to its surroundings - from the forest and it’s un-dergrowth, to the horizon with its valleys and hillsides covered in vines, in between.  Nicolas Mathéus Two connected blocs, one dedicated to social interactions; transparent and light, with the welcom-ing warmth of a central fireplace and the light sculpture rising through the monumental stairc... Milka Boutique Hotel

Restaurant occupies the ground floor together with the outside terrace offering gorgeous vistas over the Alpine Lake Jasna and the Julian Alps. Reception, one suite and a private sauna occupies the basement. 5 elegantly equipped rooms occupy the other floors. Studio CAPN Studio CAPN The concept of Milka is to offer a wholesome alpine experience, combining Slovene tradition with modern comfort at the highest level. The thread that connects everything is taken from the lake itself. Hilly, green, and wooded surroundings dictated the use of colours. Pestana Casino Studios

In order to talk about the last hotel built by the Pestana group, I first have to talk about how this building was built, and how it didn't take more than 8 months to be finished. But how, when we know that a hotel with 3,500m2 and 75 rooms would have to have a construction time of at least twice as much? Caption It is in 2013, when I was looking into construction technologies and their role in architecture, housing and other programs, that my research into modular construction begins.  Caption While the exhaustive repetition of modular systems can make the architecture less significant, it is no less true that we will not be able to solve the housing problem without being more inventive. And without first taking care to be... More

Hotel Luxor and Cairo

Luxor & Cairo is a luxury 4-star hotel at Jesolo, recently renovated by Studio Noa. The renovation project added an additional floor to the hotel, creating 12 large rooms with sea-view terraces, two of them also featuring a rooftop terrace. The Marazzi collection chosen to cover the various surfaces of the hotel’s new suites is the Plaster concrete-effect, in an assortment of colours and sizes. Plaster Butter in 60x60 cm size was chosen for the floors of the rooms, while the Cementine 60x60 cm decor was used in a variety of delightful ways: as decorative carpet for the bedroom, as shower enclosure lining and as bathroom counter finish. For the bathroom, the Cementine decor was combined with Plaster in the large 120x60 cm size, wit... More

HOTEL PRINZ RUDOLF

This project represents a type of architecture that rises from the history and the morphology of the location, combining both themes into a modern concept of a smart hotel. The new Hotel Prinz Rudolf gets its name from the crown prince of Austria and Hungary, son of the Austrian empress Sissy and her husband the emperor Franz Joseph, who got lost in the woods at one of his excursions and was found near by the Hotels site. The theme of prince Rudolf is omnipresent at the hotels interior starting with the combination of black and gold colours up to the chandeliers. This revocation of an aristocratic environment in a contemporary style evocates a unique provocative character that marks the interior design of this hotel. Davide Perbellini... More
