The "Apartamento Campolide" project was born from the desire of a young, growing family to expand their home by combining two apartments located on the same floor. The building, from the mid-1990s, was built in reinforced concrete, with a pillar-beam-slab system, which made it possible to connect both apartments without compromising the structure. Graça Loft

Located in one of the most typical neighborhoods in the city, next to Praça do Martim Moniz and Avenida Almirante Reis, this project is the result of the transformation of a store and warehouse. This configuration, usual in buildings from the mid-20th century, gave way to a unique living space, idealized as a design loft. In order to maintain the character of the building, the loft aims to establish a dialogue between the past and the cosmopolitan present. The apartment is in Penha de França neighbourhood in Lisbon, located on the 1st floor of a 5 storey residential building, from the 50s. It’s a 3 bed apartment with a quite uncommon shape. In what was once an aged neighbourhood of the city, in a building from 1938, the apartment is presently located in one of the flourishing areas of Lisbon.A key challenge for the interior architecture of this apartment was to suit the space to everyday needs and to a more contemporary way of inhabiting, with better-lit environments, bigger spaces and better connections in between them.
