Casa Ruina

Casa Ruina is located in the west coast of Corfu surrounded by olive trees and a stunning view to the Ionian Sea. The presence of an abundance of olive trees both in the plot and its surroundings motivated us to design with main focus on preserving the existing vegetation and the character given to the plot.   Caption Caption Caption In order to preserve the big olive trees, it is proposed to break the building volumes. This results in the creation of the internal courtyards and atriums, forming areas of graded privacy. The main house area consists of interconnected volumes, when exterior walls are being used in order not only to guide but also to frame different aspects of the house or the surrounding area. Complesso parrocchiale Oppido Lucano

Over time, the sacred space is architecturally characterized through the development and definition of archetypal elements such as the apse, the dome, the verticality, the light, the churchyard, the bell tower, the nave, just to name the most immediate and recognizable. Each of these elements plays a mathematically exact role within the "sacred enclosure" that aggregates them, as well as in the consequent historically determined "church form". NextBuild The project, therefore, explores the conceptual DECOMPOSITION and RECOMPOSITION, reabsorbing these elements "inside" the thickness of a continuous wall mass, which "unfolds" embracing the interior and exterior. Complesso parrocchiale Fiano Romano

PARISH COMPLEX CRISTO NOSTRA PASQUA – FIANO ROMANO “Continuity” is the motto chosen for the new parish complex of Fiano Romano, dedicated to Christ Our Easter. “Continuity” is a noun that appears to express, or capable of “resurfacing”, the forgotten values of a disciplinary research that found its conceptual center in the definition of stringent relationships between project and context, between innovation and tradition, between art and architecture.
