N-6 HOUSE

N6 House is located in the exclusive gated community of Los Ríos de Chicureo, Chile. Situated on a corner lot measuring 40x25 meters with a slight slope towards the west, this residence stands out for its design and aesthetics. Gallery Lofts

Occupying the ground floor of a soft loft development, this project converted a commercial space into a ground floor penthouse. It was a start-from-scratch project, to take advantage of the high ceilings and natural light. The unit is predominantly south-facing, looking onto the walking path along the Lachine canal. It is a project which considers the boundaries of public and private, exploring how these boundaries can simultaneously be upheld and dissolved. Alex Lesage To define the boundaries of public and private, the plan consists of three nested volumes which build layers of privacy. The largest volume is the most public, an axial gallery from the front door to an external terrace. The middle volume demarcates the private portion... More

THE LATTICE: ZHISHAN RESIDENCES

The city is redundant: it repeats itself so that something will stick in the mind.  Memory is redundant: it repeats signs so that the city can begin to exist. -Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities Studio Millspace Taipei is a modern metropolis that manages to maintain a sense of community and human scale; alongside new glassy tall buildings, there co-exists charming arcaded low rises from the 70s, while the sub-tropical climate allows for a lush greenery to thrive and interweave throughout the urban landscape. The project site is located in Zhishan, part of Tianmu in Shilin district, which has a particularly rich cultural background. JAG Studio The morphological complexity of the terrain and its pronounced topography made the boundary between the building and the public space one of the determining elements in designing the project.
