Bosco Corporate

Faria Lima - the Bosco Corporate Building  emerges as a symbol of a new concept for corporate developments. Introduction The Born district of Barcelona was the seat of a prosperous artisan economy during medieval times and still preserves traces of that in the names of its streets: Assaonadors, Argenteria, Cotoners, Carders, Flassaders were the trades carried out by the artisans of this neighborhood. The urban fabric in this part of the city is mainly made up of multi-family dwellings between party walls. The structure is made of load-bearing ceramic work walls and ceramic vaulted ceilings with wooden beams. In Between Gardens

In Between Gardens is a commercial space renovation designed following a bioclimatic architecture approach.  The main objective was to optimize the capture of solar radiation in order to reduce the energy consumption. Built with a reduced budget, the design tries to get a comfortable user experience from a visual, acoustic and olfactory point of view. Sun and nature are the design pillars. Team: Gabriel Verd + Buró4 This project commenced just as the economy was beginning to recover from the recession. The aim was to come up with a residential development that was the different from the one widely used in the area and base on an obsolete partial development plan. The old plan proposed blocks with a wide width and interior courtyards for ventilation, but where the orientation of the homes and the organisation of the free areas were not a priority.
