GN House

Surrounded by houses built in the 1940’s with sloping roofs covered by concrete tiles, the GN house stands out with its bright color and modernist simple shape. The house is slightly lifted from the street level and defined by a few basic materials and colors: concrete in white, steel and aluminum in black, and wood in its natural color.  The scheme of the project is based on the merge of three boxes, which are distinguished from one another by size or coating material. At the front, the top floor stands out with its dazzling white plaster coating, and in contrast to the floor below it, which is coated with Cedar wood beams. RG House

Conditioned by an environmentally protected area on the backyard, the RG house diverges into two distinct priority facts, one environmental and another human: the uneven topography, characteristic of the city, and the contemplative value that the preserved vegetation offers to the residents on the most private limit of the lot.   The project proposes an alternative that reconciles these two aspects. From the street, the house extends from the upper level to the backyard, in a way that floats on the topography while suits it, creating a shaded area on the ground and linking the main access to the street. In this conformation, the project assumes a elevated ground floor for intimate purposes - whose elevation allows privacy and the bes... More

The design of the structure that rests on this stone is positioned in a way so that the premise of the proposal could it be revealed in the access as a sculptural piece that unites structure and architecture, keeping the natural concrete with strong appeal to the local techniques . Fababu House

A plot with steep slopes and rocky terrain are the starting point to plan the project. The building emerges from the terrain forming three volumes that blend together, adapting to the topography of the place. The hollows of the different pieces are born from the edges of each of the volumes interlacing one another and generating a system of holes that allows solving all the windows of the project. This system produces shadows that give depth to the façade, making it possible to perceive from the exterior a mass, compact element, as if it were a rock, and from the inside the geometry of the holes and the terraces of each one of them. it helps to maximize the vision of the environment, but always without having visuals between the diff...
