Villa at Jaypee Greens

The client brief for the interiors of this villa was pretty simple as he wanted to use this villa for relaxation over the weekends along with this family. Hence the intent was set straight from the beginning to use finishes requiring less maintenance and keeping everything very basic and uncluttered as the villa would be used only once in a week. Also, his aesthetic appeal resonated to being very clean, contemporary and minimalistic with prominence on whites/hues of light colour with absolutely  no usage of any bold jarring colours or motifs anywhere. Design Concept : The villa has been based on the concept of Biophilic design since the very aim of the client is to come here for leisure and rejuvenation. Biophilic design emphasizes h... More

The Living Lab at the Shard

Human physiology is wired to seek qualities of light, view, material, and other factors common in the natural world. This p... More

TBWA\HAKUHODO Office

TBWA\HAKUHODO continues to bring its philosophy of Disruption® to the market place, shaking up existing norms and sending out radical new ideas to the world. Recently the Tokyo-based agency has expanded its office space, creating new areas for work and creative thinking on the fourth floor of the building they currently occupy. The existing fifth and sixth floor office areas were primarily a place for collaboration and co-creation, however, the new fourth floor space was designed with a focus on “the individual”.   First, the existing interior was demolished to expose the base structures of the building (built originally as a warehouse), and an expansive new environment was re-imagined from there.   With a foo... Park Pavilion The Hoge Veluwe National Park

The new Park Pavilion in the Hoge Veluwe National Park, designed by De Zwarte Hond and Monadnock, offers visitors a warm welcome and adds an extra dimension to their visit. The pavilion has a restaurant, a park shop and accommodates education and reception areas. In the elongated and curved central space – with a crackling fire at one end on cold days – visitors can admire the light projections on the vaulted ceiling. The new building is a striking landmark in the middle of the forest and is an ideal base for a day out in the Hoge Veluwe.   A key point of departure for the architects was that the entire building must form an integral part of the landscape and the park experience. This is not only reflected in the design... More
