Biophilia - Slate House Northcote

Biophilia.SlateHouse, Northcote: A well-proportioned, high-tech, sustainable home for a family of five that connects with nature, benefiting the residents’ health and well-being. The pitched slate form, reminiscent of the traditional vernacular, combines with contemporary minimalist detailing, bridging past and present : A re-think of the suburban house. Biophilia.SlateHouse is designed to interact and engage with nature, the essence of Biophilic design. Below the strong monolithic slate form, a simple ground floor plan interweaves with nature, meandering out and in, carving two courtyards, at once grounding the house in the garden and drawing the garden back into the house. The building invites the adjacent park into the garden, bor... More

Talina Edwards Architecture recently won the Sustainability Medal at the 2019 Architeam Awards for the Owl Woods Passive House project, and was also an official finalist in the New Home Category at the 2019 Sustainability Awards. Owl Woods Passive House has been described as one of the most unique and beautiful Architecturally-designed Passivhaus homes in Australia. RigUp Office

The primary design charge by RigUp, a dynamic Austin startup business, was to both create an inspiring work place that efficiently functions for the office activities, as well as to symbolically engender the brand externally. The young, tech-savvy company was looking to minimize distractions while also offering a cozy and residential feel to a commercial work environment. AE STUDIO

Brickwood419 Design was engaged by AE Studio to design their office space in New Delhi, India. This architectural studio space was designed keeping the ‘Walk of life’ concept as a design directive with the industrial chic style central. The spatial planning was dictated by enhancing client’s visual experience. It was extremely critical for the owners to have a layout that almost unknowingly forced the visitors and clients to have a visual experience of the whole office.  As one enters the office, the concept showcases an impressive feature wall with artificial green grass and lacquered glass, that not just hides the out of place ‘column’ but also visually connects it to the ceiling. This radiates a strong perspective above... More
