AZ House

AZ house Situated in an affluent area of mid-town Toronto this modern house serves to celebrate the clients’ love of nature and their desire to live an active and engaged urban lifestyle. The clients were a forward thinking couple with a drive to create a house with clean spaces and simple detailing. Using the Incite Method, the design process progressed through collaborative engagement directly with the clients to ensure that the house was tailored to achieve their objectives and enabled them to live their desired lifestyle. Although the surrounding neighborhood is made up of predominantly traditional houses, this modern design respects the eave lines, porch lines and building massing of the neighboring houses. The clients had... More

Switch to the color mode to splash any desirable color onto your wall/furniture. Turn on the color shuffle mode to let a rainbow of colors dance freely around your room. Featuring 126 LEDs, Tono can cycle through 1,500 light color combinations of red, green and blue at various speeds. Surprisingly, Tono consumes just 18 watts and emits approximately 600 lumens. The LEDs are rated to last 10,000 hours – that's 9 years assuming 3 hours of daily use. For those who crave the non-traditional, Tono is the lamp for you and all of your moods. More

Sea Salt

Initially this salt residence was to be built as a weekend escape for Gold Coast empty nesters. Upon completion and happy with the end result they made it their primary residence. A mix of materials has been used externally, there are beach house elements with the use of weatherboard cladding, combined with render, steel and stonework. The colour palette has been directly influenced by the surrounding native bush land. Large expanses of glass throughout the home let the natural light and bush views in, Mixed use of timbers reflect the natives and the steely grey of the porcelain tiles mimics the sky. Visitors are greeted by two wings, connected by a large commercial glazing wall, spanning two stories. On entry, a marble tiled spine wall... More

This house is designed with prime focus with landscape. This is a first climate oriented house plan. It has a summer garden and a winter garden. Here the plan forms "Z". This used of garden gets sun in morning till late evening, thus ideal to use in winter. Where north side garden has more lawn area, which has shadow of building in afternoon and evening. It gets good morning sun and than later part of a day is shaded. Thus it becomes summer garden to use in hot days. Each space has a view to garden. And we planned different philosophy to experience the garden fr... More

The Tropical House

This house stands out unique and very first of its kind in HPA’s folio. The house is in Indian tropical climate just few minutes away from Ocean. Since both, client and we adore the tropical landscape we wanted to achieve the quality, which completes the surroundings, and vice versa. The very texture of client’s sustainable lifestyle has woven into design and execution as well. A narrow paved passage beautifully covered by native plants leads to vestibule & open verandah. Open verandah faces green lawn and plantation on three sides. Vestibule connects family room and living room, while verandah is also an extension of formal living room. The central structure of house consists of formal living room and dining room, which opens to back ve... More

Villa Al Manara

The undeveloped lots along Beach Road in Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach district offer an opportunity to nestle villas behind garden walls and help owners fulfill their dreams of a true 21st century home within a vast neighborhood of more traditional villas. However, with garden walls a normal entity, the “street appeal” of villas makes one look just like another. This is an opportunity for more conservative clients to build to their hearts’ desire. The Al Manara villa is a distinct example of modern architecture with a generous 10,000 GSF plan. The materials include ashlar patterned slate sliding, stain-less steel and broad expanses of glass to allow views and light to penetrate into the living areas of the villa. More

House Tat

The five-storey house is built on a very steep and narrow site with 180° views to the east. The existing house had no distinguishing architectural features, which the architect set out to correct. Adding to the appeal of the additions and alterations is the way the architectural design takes full advantage of the spectacular views that are on offer. The street façade was given a contemporary makeover with striking geometric elements made out of steel and concrete. The eastern and western façades are screened by the use of vertical louvers to allow sun control and degrees of privacy from adjacent properties. The front door opens up to the views through the double volume reception room, whilst the frameless stacking glass doors integr... More
