SFJ6 is a project of 102 dwellings designed to adapt to the complexity of the city, solving several urban problems and generating quality public spaces in its surroundings. The building is integrated into the city as a folded volume that embraces the disparate existing buildings, taking special care of the contact areas and adapting its ground floor to the complex topography of the site in order to generate the greatest points of contact with the city and revitalise the public space. RESIDENTIAL C4

The C4 project, located in the centre of the city of Valencia, transforms and rehabilitates a 1920 building into a contemporary residential building adapted to new social demands. National House

National House is a new modestly sized two-storey skinny house for a young family of four. The design makes geometric and elemental references to the neighbouring development of its immediate context while also alluding to the formal qualities of various compact housing types in Japanese, Dutch and Belgian inner urban neighbourhoods. Habitat Bulevar

Team: Gabriel Verd + Buró4 This project commenced just as the economy was beginning to recover from the recession. The aim was to come up with a residential development that was the different from the one widely used in the area and base on an obsolete partial development plan. The old plan proposed blocks with a wide width and interior courtyards for ventilation, but where the orientation of the homes and the organisation of the free areas were not a priority. Dwelling Houses in Sete Cidades

This project consists of 27 single-family dwellings built under a controlled-price regime, and the basic aim was therefore to optimize its costs effectiveness. The design, based in the vernacular houses of this region of Azores, seeks to enhance the versatility of uses and subsequent potential modifications to the physical features of the spaces. The operation area, which has a gentle eastward slope down to the lake, covers13.202m2, inserted in a transition zone of the Vila das SeteCidades.
