Grosspeter Tower

At almost 80 metres, the Grosspeter Tower has been an impressive addition to Basel’s skyline since August 2017. The new building spans 22 floors and offers ultra-modern commercial and office space as well as a hotel. The sustainable building designed by architects Burckhardt+Partner also sets a high standard when it comes to ecology, with its energy-efficient building supply. The energy consumption for property’s entire heating and cooling output is largely provided by geothermal heat. Grosspeter Tower has a total annual energy requirement of 453,000 kWh for heating, 269,000 kWh water heating and 427,000 kWh for cooling as part of the building’s air conditioning.
