Studio is an ambitious project which will significantly enrich Malmö’s city life. Studio is a 55 metres tall, fourteen-storey structure that is essentially flexible to function as a mixed-use building, accommodating bars, cafés, restaurant, a hotel, retail outlets, offices, a conference hall and a multifunctional hall, all under one roof. Studio will be a natural focal point and a catalyst of the ongoing regeneration of the Malmö harbour area. It will be a landmark buzzing with life and activities, both day and night. “Bayonne Marinadour is the first intervention to be completed in a complex of actions marking the new entrance to the city of Bayonne. The other elements are a park produced by remodelling the approach road to Henri Grenet Bridge and, overlooking it, the built complex of Rivadour. These pieces establish synergies and interrelations, forming a unitary urban complex at the gateway to the historic city. From the beginning, the Master Plan of this property was conceived in various phases of development: hotel, bungalows, villas and winery.It’s difficult to achieve this organic process when embarking on nature and environmental projects. In any complex project, resolving unknown issues can lead to even superior results. The project for the Tamina thermal baths is the result of a two-stage competition from 2003. The aim of the first phase of the process was to coordinate the large pending architectural interventions in terms of town planning. Where should the new five-star hotel be located, where should the extension of the medical centre be set, and how should the new public thermal baths be accessed from the site?
