Morocco in London

In this build, the focus was on the concept of a sunroom and the glass elements required for letting light into the home. With the addition of a glass extension, Morocco in London can bring in light without the fear of being overlooked due to the brick wall of An Indian Retreat. Caption The extension is a unification of workspace, reading nook, and kitchen space, all of which are surrounded by plants and flowers. There is also an addition of a guest cloakroom, which can also function as a laundry room incorporating a classical laundry basin with a drying rack above. The laundry basin was manufactured in-house so that the homeowner's vision could be personally completed by the architects.   Caption The renovations on this ho... More

An Indian Retreat

This build focused on the use of brick and expanding the space for the family. The entire house was re-modelled whilst maintaining original details like the front door, hallway floor, main bannister rail, and the original fireplaces.  Caption A rear dormer extension is visible on the top floor with the addition of a new bedroom and bathroom. In blending the extension seamlessly into the house, the architect decided to add integrated windows, facing onto the garden. The windows slope with the roofline and continue from the hallway into the bedroom, creating a wall of light in the dormer extension.  Caption Throughout the house, there are Indian family heirloom elements that are mainly located in the reception, enhancing... Railway workers' cottage renovation

This project involved the modernisation of a traditional railway workers' cottage within the Park Royal regeneration area and next to the new Old Oak Common HS2 station. Built in the 1880's by the London and Northwestern Railway, the house contained the original outside toilet in the back garden, and was in a very poor state of repair. The key challenge was to renovate the house, and bring it up to modern standards, without losing it's particular character as a modest workers' cottage. Brotherton Lock The basic structure of the house was simple, and although it was in a dilapidated condition, it had not been altered. This inherent simplicity, essentially due to its function as a workman's dwelling, meant that we were able to strip i... More

Apartment Ladvi

A spacious apartment in a classic prefabricated building in a Prague housing estate was not only in an unsatisfactory technical condition, but also the layout was illogically designed. The first step was to merge the living room with the kitchen and move them to the southwest facade with a loggia. The apartment was further complemented by a second bathroom accessible directly from the bedroom closet. The master bedroom is unobtrusively accessed through a closet from the vestibule, it has absolute privacy. The high quality of the materials used, the subtle colour scheme and the emphasis on quality artificial lighting have made this classic apartment in a prefabricated building a pleasant place to live. MIDTOWN APARTMENT: MODERN INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior design of this apartment has found its relevance in the combination of three styles: modern minimalist, Scandinavian and loft. Guided by the client’s preferences, we gave free rein to our imagination, creating an individual story for each room and uniting them through a common stylistic thread. Oleg Bajura   Borrowing motifs from nature such as the sky and the moon, the concept is characterized by circular shapes. We also used plastered panels with the effect of concrete and LED lighting on a deep blue background of the walls. The house represents the contrast of colours and finishes, which become skilfully used tools for zoning the space. Planning is another factor that has contributed to the aesthetic and vi... More

The Apartment of Perfect Brightness

Beginning with the owner’s stated preference for a home with abundant natural light, the name of this project was adapted from that of a famous Beijing garden. The idea of “perfect brightness” was explored architecturally: beginning with research into the psychological effects of different qualities and colors of daylight, a system was developed whereby ambient lighting could change from warm to cool white, depending on the season, time of day, and outdoor lighting conditions. The light is “concentrated” at the center in two twisting, shell-shaped feature walls, drawing visitors in from the entry. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption   Further, working from the owner’s...
