Cabanas in Comporta

“I want this place to be my retreat, give me a bed and a bathtub and I’m happy”. This is the brief we had from our client from the project cabanas in Comporta, a small private residential project. The initial project was just that, a 12 sqm bedroom hut with a bathtub, the “intimate module” as we like to call it. Gradually, as the conversations with the client started to develop, a new hut appeared on the project. The “social module”. Then another hut for safekeeping the clients’ car collection. The “service module”. TheLoveTriangle Gallery

Design collective TheLoveTriangle has designed and completed its off-grid pavilion in Baabdat, Lebanon. The structure’s transparent glazing allows for a natural connection with the site. The pavilion sits in a location that was historically used for agricultural p... More

Pine Cone of Royal Safari Garden

Geographically, the project is located in the highland of Cisarua, Bogor. The Pine Cone pro-ject is part of a master plan redesigned project of Royal Safari Garden Resort and Convention. Pine Cone project provides several facilities such as Front office facilities, Restaurants, Re-tail, Animal exhibit, Bungalows and the other facilities.Although the site is adjacent to the main street, it is hardly noticeable from the street due to the sunken site conditions. Moreover, the position of the existing building was pushed far away from the main street. This condition makes the existing building not attractive and does not attract the interest of visitors. This area is also located in a densely populated area with access to two car lanes in both... More

'Pasteur II' school group, Marlène Jobert nursery school + crèche

The pine trees at the northwestern corner of this site form a gateway into the site. The pine grove brings people together and locals are free to meet up here. It gives onto a succession of patios, lawns, green roofs, pines, other trees and plant-covered partitions that create a transitional landscape. The building itself hovers between two layers of forest, one indoors, the other outdoors. Reflective annealed stainless steel elements blur the distinction between building and landscape that leads us to dream of faraway places and to learn. Rough and smooth, matt and shiny; the building offers children and visitors alike an ‘educational’ experience based on the five senses and using natural light without ever going over the top with colour....
