Villafranca House

At Villafranca House nothing is coincidence, it is design. A custom design project where the architects have taken care of every last detail inside and outside this resounding piece of domestic architecture. A home with an urban vocation, which looks beyond its perimeter fence, showing itself as a great design object that dominates its quiet and pleasant residential environment. Javier de Paz Javier de Paz Villafranca House is located very close to Madrid on a large flat rectangular plot surrounded by other single-family homes, all with their garden and enough space around them. A very monotonous and quiet context ideal for family life, where most of the buildings dialogue only with their own garden and do not look beyond the li... More

Wisconsin Cabin

Resolution: 4 Architecture designed this modern prefab cabin for a rural wooded site in Door County, Wisconsin where modular construction simplified the logistics of building on a remote site where reliable labor is not always available. Surrounded by trees filtering dappled light onto the site, this two-bedroom, two-bath retreat offers a tranquil setting for its owners. The design provides connection to the outdoors with the implementation of multiple covered deck spaces. Natural light is abundant inside as a result of the butterfly roof design that allows for tall ceilings and clerestory windows. @Resolution: 4 Architecture @Resolution: 4 Architecture @Resolution: 4 Architecture @Resolution: 4 Architecture @Resoluti... The house is situated on a narrow lot amidst a spectrum of 1950’s era beach bungalows and an eclectic mix of freshly minted estates. The concept for this home originated from a desire to generate a timeless balance between the vernacular of mid-century California beach architecture and contemporary sensibilities towards sustainable materials, function, vistas and natural light. Taking cues from the neighboring classical Carolands Chateau, this home for six maximizes a flat site by lifting the quiet programs off the ground to float above the activity.  Service spaces are captured amongst a masonry plinth, nodding to the neighboring Chateau’s organization and rusticated base.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE These masses organize the primary public spaces into a double high core that connects seamlessly to the exterior.  When doors retract, the wood clad volume above becomes a canopy for indoor/outdoor living.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE The language of the wood cladding... The Lake Tahoe Cabins is comprised of three discrete structures that traverse the rugged and complex Crystal Bay shoreline.  Each cabin is strategically arranged around the site’s elemental intricacies with distinct connections to the Tahoe landscape and lakefront below.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE The individual structures are linked by a glazed bridge whose footprint kinks precisely around a mass of prehistoric Sierra granite.  The unique arrangement of cabins creates recreational alcoves before approaching the lake.   ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE On the second level, the great room and kitchen expand the en... Limoneros House

The challenge was the renovation and extension of a semi-detached house but on  "villa style" mood. Our goal was to create a striking, modern home with light-filled open spaces and clean lines. Ana Mora Ana Mora Our proposal consisted of creating a new volumetric composition on the façade that would "accommodate" the extension, giving unity to the complex as well as its own and powerful identity. Ana Mora Ana Mora The house has a basement for parking. On the ground floor, there is the living room, the kitchen, a small toilet, an office and the master bedroom (which has its own bathroom and dressing room). The upper floor has 3 large bedrooms, a laundry room and a bathroom, as well as a south-facing terrace.... More

Beach house, located among the pine forests and rice fields of Comporta, set in sand dunes, in a place of great natural beauty and strength of fauna and flora. The center of inspiration was the deserted and wild beaches of the region and the reproduction of this environment, with dunes and vegetation. FG+SG | Fernando Guerra FG+SG | Fernando Guerra The project is composed of 2 pure volumes with great transparency, around which you can appreciate the complexity of the nature that surrounds them.A wooden volume on the ground floor and on top of it a concrete volume on the first floor.
