Koinè by Luceplan selected by jury as Building Product of the Year 2023
Archello Awards 2023 has revealed its winning products. For each of the 17 categories, one product was awarded by jury vote, and one product was awarded by public vote. As the overall Building Product of the Year award winner, the jury has selected Koinè designed by Mandalaki Studio for Luceplan.
The name Koinè draws from the Greek term for 'common' or 'shared' and is the title of a line of suspension lamps that refers to the product's versatile shape. The fixture appears as a floating disc: it is a product with an effect as crisp as its form. It consists of an ultra-thin conical visor suspended from a fine cable. Casa Amaranto
Casa Amaranto is the renewal of an early 1950s Milanese apartment. The redistribution of spaces takes place through two main expedients: the first is the creation of a walk-in closet between the main bedroom and the living area; the volume, conceived as a box, characterizes both spaces becoming a sculptural satin coloured element with iridescent reflections.

The second reorganization device consists of a set of two openings at full height, that can be closed by two large sliding oak wood panels. If necessary, the kitchen, the bedroom and the living room can be divided, otherwise they constitute one continuous visually interconnected space.

Magia
We have always liked to think heretically, evoking mystery, magic and seduction.
Magia is the new modular suspension lighting system that can be adapted to suit the different heights of the rooms and can generate direct and indirect light with the 360° adjustable module.
In this case, the lens is not used to focus, but to modify the vision and perception of the object.
The effect of the convex lens conceals the part of the light beam and produces the lightest effect of suspension and inconsistency.
Light and transparency are the true stars of this project. More
Doi
Doi is a family of decorative indoor lamps which takes on different possible configurations in the suspension models, formed by only a disk and a cylinder, or with the added “pendulum” accessory.
Depending on the interaction of the key parts of the project – the disk and the diffuser cylinder – as well as on the magnetic attachment or the play of counterweights, different compositions can be created, to produce the desired orientation of the beam of light. More
