The proposal for Restaurant Lobito de Mar in Madrid Submerges the ambience of the sea into the capital, where seafood is the main focus of this gastronomical space. The space on the ground floor is divided into two separate ambiences however strongly connected with the same leitmotif, the sea.   In the first space, “The Bar Resalao”, materials and textures were carefully selected to evoke subtle reminders of the typical fish markets with a sophisticated contemporary twist. KOPI Jewellery Boutique

When walking into KOPI boutique in Warsaw, one can immediately feel like in a luxurious Moroccan tent in the middle of a desert. Natalia Kopiszka, the designer and founder of the brand, found the inspiration to create this unique interior during her travels to Morocco and French Riviera.   The ones who made Natalia’s vision come true were Noke Architects, who are famous for their refined attention to detail. Our aim was to create an interior that would give clients a completely immersive experience. The soft, irregular shapes of KOPI jewelry and the designer’s holiday inspirations were our starting point – says the Noke Architects duet: Karol Pasternak and Piotr Maciaszek. The characteristic storefront was designed... More

We designed  1,500 m2 of coworking space in a bright, atypical and charming space : an old Call center within red bricks walls's building, dispatches on three levels. The building offered a large potential design wise, despite of numerous renovations work to be planned.   “Maison du coworking” is a French chain of coworking spaces which wants family and where it is pleasant to work.   The main challenge was to create a space where the different company teams could mix, meet and above all, communicate.   Emphasis was therefore placed on the main living space: "the living room", designed as a living and comfortable discussion space, "like at home": open kitchen, sofas, poufs, games room, Baby foot.  ... Rina Lovko Studio

If you want to know how an architect lives, go visit their office. Although, the Rina Lovko Studio’s workspace is hard to call an office.   The architect’s workshop was registered on the ground floor of a house in 1895, located in the heart of Kiev, not far from St. Andrew's Descent and Pejzazhna Alley. And in the immediate vicinity, right in the courtyard is the foundation of the church of the 12th century. You can get into the studio from the yard. Through the veranda in the style of Chekhov's times (in the past it was the main entrance to the house), the guest enters the room functionally used as a hub, uniting like-minded architects. In this format of coworking, the studio has been living for two years.   &ldqu... More

Hotel Tepoztlan

Amidst exotic vegetation and mysticism, the Tepoztlan Hotel sits on what was once an abandoned plot where wild vegetation had already taken possession and ancient trees flanked the main entrance of a rugged topography.   Imagined and created by Taller Carlos Marín and Pasquinel Studio, the terracotta-colored oasis that houses 11 rooms is diluted through 4 volumes that allow for a balanced arrangement of the hotel's program and the surrounding landscape.   Upon entering, an imposing staple of pigmented concrete intertwines with the perfect tabebuias to form the entrance frame; as we continue, the geographic peculiarity of the terrain takes center stage as it reveals a volcanic landscape that responds to the topographic c... Devon Passivhaus

Planning for this project was won under Paragraph 79, the Country House Clause, with a design taking inspiration from the surroundings. The overall design is simple and clean. An elegant brick front complements the brickwork of the of garden wall and a discrete front door opening references the gate in the garden wall. Further down, an oriel window breaks through, hinting at what is behind. Elsewhere, external surfaces are dark render, designed to recede visually in deference to the surrounding garden.   Tucked within, the house has a glass roofed courtyard at its center, a winter garden flooding light into the interior. Spaces are arranged around this central core so the building functions both as a home and a gallery for our client... More

House JE

The project is situated in a small street in the Grand Beguinage in Mechelen. The protected monument with a lot of cultural, historical and aesthetic value was originally a poorhouse from the 17th century and had been vacant for years. The convent has been completely intact since the 18th century without any modifications and shows us that the beguines really mastered soberness.   This is reflected in the approach of the architect. dmvA renovated and restored the building and transformed it into a family home of which the scale didn’t change. The spaces are approached through simplicity and the existing scale inspired dmvA to design in a Japanese-inspired way. In doing so there has been searched for maximality in the... More

Urgell

The complete renewal of a small apartment in the top floor of an old 60’s building in Barcelona’s city center.. The apartment is surrounded by small opened terraces and it has also a  top floor with a big solarium facing south. The main idea about the renovation is to locate a floating big piece of furniture that acts as a Kitchen but also as a central dining table. Around this space, life and light is everywhere. There is a direct acces to small terrace and a big opening facing south. This big opening allows to have great views over Montjuich mountain and a local inner Typical Eixample Patio. In the terraces we placed a big canopy in order to avoid the sun in the outer dining zone and there is a metallic staircase that l... More
