OKKO Hotel

Studiopepe was called by the hotellerie group OKKO to design the lobby and “Le Club” of their new Hotel in Paris, in one of a kind building, right inside the iconic "Gare de l’Est" station in Paris. “Le Club” is the heart of the entire Hotel, the place that characterizes the OKKO hotel chain. Overlooking the station, open 24/7, it welcomes guests who can use it according to their needs throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner: to relax, organize business meetings or simply listen to selected music on vinyls.   The layout is a reinterpretation of the free plan: a fluid space without physical barriers but with light and mobile dividing elements – such as curtains and partitions – ensuring f... Mirella

Here comes Mirella. Mirella is a house in the heart of Ravenna. It arises from the refurbishment of a typical dwelling of the old borgo San Biagio, a simple neighborhood, where you can still meet people chitchatting during summer evenings, sitting on the entrance steps of the house.   Mirella is a little introvert, though. It is constantly in the search of its inner garden.Mirella is soft, because the light is always filtered by the sequence of its interiors.Mirella is mysterious, but opens up into breaches through which you can see the sky.   The photos tell about its intimacy, revealed by the delicate gaze of Simone Bossi.   Mirella is the result of the renovation of a single-family building in the historic center of... Café Got bar design embraces the urban vitality of Barcelona

With a long and active façade facing the street, Café Got is a spot where the city of Barcelona and Hotel Kimpton Vividora come together, inviting the community in. Credit: One Represent Agency The designers, El Equipo Creativo, were inspired by Ciutat Vella, and more specifically the Gothic Quarter and its street atmosphere, where little narrow streets lead you to unexpected plazas, patios, and entrances to residential buildings and stone, greenery and water are material essentials. It was decided to introduce these same elements to the design of the bar. Credit: One Represent Agency A double-height space with a cascade of glass lamps connects with the lobby area on the first level bringing a fresh and watery effe... More

Pakkret House

A gigantic wall of 7.5 meter height at the front facing west is divided into several strips, various in sizes and thickness levels, parting and overlapping freely from different angles and directions. Covered by brownish-orange terracotta tiles, the wall stands high to support a translucent roofing panel where many small lights strung in rows like waves. These decorative elements on the front of the two-story house in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi not only shade the house from direct sunlight but also intentionally create an interplay between natural sunlight and the light after dark: a lively area of a conversation with light. The 96 sq.w plot is located behind the Sahakon 3 Market in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi. From the desire to expand the residence t... More

HUNT restaurant

"HUNT" is a new restaurant, which was opened on the place of an oriental kitchen. The concept has changed radically: there was no trace from the rich Chinese restaurant. It became an all new place, unique in content and based on natural motifs - both in the kitchen and in the interior. The restaurant combines three concepts that are reflected in interior solutions - bar with fresh seafood, gastronomic and meat dishes.   The name "HUNT" has been interpreted in interior design: natural motifs and materials prevail here. Space is full of wood, stone, leather, clay decor, an abundance of dry plants. Hunt is historically about strong people, the rough side of nature, harsh rocks and endless fields. And this is also the associations that r... More

PIZ House

This old shack was formerly owned by a beloved character in the seaside suburb of Coledale, and seemed to embody his character within it. Neighbours were relieved when it became evident the cottage would not be demolished and curiosity grew as the new forms took shape. The new owners with their two young kids embraced ideas of authenticity and vibrancy, and sought an unpretentious house, economical in size with strong connections to the escarpment.   Within a tight budget, this project set out to rekindle the old cottage, peeling back a few layers and accepting its limitations, with the architectural focus on a new addition to the streetfront. This new living area acts like a periscope for the old house, capturing the northern sunlig... More

Highgate Family Home

North London based XUL Architecture have renovated this family home in Highgate to allow for better circulation and light. This family home in Highgate had multiple circulation issues with different levels and spaces flowing in an uncomfortably-unordered manner. By addressing these issues, XUL was able to create a space which is usable and filled with light. Key to the refurbishment of this property was opening views from the front door through to the garden, drawing light in from both angles. A signature to all XUL projects is to consider the three directions of light that can be channelled into the building; from above, back and front of a property. XUL opened up the plastic skylight above the stairwell and replaced with a contemporary g... More

Built in 1900 and 1904, the Advance Thresher building has been on the National Historic Register since 1977. DLR Group’s design for the interiors of the hotel draws heavy inspiration from Scandinavian home-works.
