David Baena is Architect graduated from Vallès School of Architecture (ETSAV-UPC Barcelona, 1989). In 1995 sets up the studio BCQ Arquitectes with Architect Toni Casamor to develop projects of architecture, landscape design and urbanism.
David Baena is Professor of Construction at ESARQ-UIC since 1999 and co-Director of the Technical area. Since 2009 David Baena is Member of the Faculty Council at the same University.
Internationally, David Baena has collaborated with the Facoltà di Architettura di Alghero Università degli Studi di Sassari (Sardinia, Italy) and the Universidad de Anahuac del Sur (Mexico).
Regularly invited to give talks and lectures on numerous Spanish and international venues his opinion has been published in several articles and interviews in media. In 2015 the Joan Maragall LIbrary in Barcelona received the Ciutat de Barcelona and the Catalunya Construcció Awards. In 2013, the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Alt Maresme was awarded the First Prize MIPIM (Cannes).
