Urban Planner from Florida 588, Valparaíso, Chile
Architect, graduated at the University of Chile. Master in Government and Local Development. Through out my career as an Architect, I have maintained the highest performance standards within a diverse range of professional tasks, always linked to the urban management of the city. Since 1997 I am based in Valparaiso, where I have worked in the urban renewal programs of the city, developing an innovative model of urban management, based on partnership between public and private sector, which created a new product in the real estate market city. I have extensive knowledge and experience in design and use of management tools and programming Complex Urban Programs, through the integrated feasibility analysis, promotion of economic activities, productive and tertiary management of flows and physical mobility. In this context, I know how difficult is to plan for the future in a present with a lot of unmet needs, with often obsolete tools and government structures. Throughout all of this complex process I have acquired a strong political awareness and a solid experience in planning renewal, social and structural consolidation, especially in historical centers. Where the local government requires to establish a delicate balance between it compulsory requirements and the necessary guidance towards private actors. Which should be kept able to make proposals, as well as to take economic/financial/entrepreneurial and management initiatives. International Professional experience working on architectural offices in Fribourg, Switzerland and in Hamburg, Germany.
