DE JUUL INTERIOR DESIGN – COMPANY PROFILE
Juliëtte van der Hulst's love of interiors and architecture started from an early age. Born in 1980 and raised in the famous Dutch flower region, she used her first savings to buy a subscription to the magazine Huis & Interieur magazine. During her studies in Rotterdam, she spent many weekends in the library of the Netherlands Architecture Institute (nowknown as the NewInstitute).
Juliëtte began her career in PR and marketing with big names within the interior design & architecture industry, such as Vitra and Erick van Egeraat associated architects. The path of employers led past a diverse palette of industry-related companies and evenings were spent studying interior architecture, furniture making and lighting.
In 2008 she founded DE JUUL Interior Design, after which many extraordinary renovation projects followed as well as the launch of her own furniture brand DE JUUL in 2011. With her personalized designs as well as her passion for and knowledge of historical architecture, she has acquired titles such as 'rising star' and 'power woman'. Nowadays she is rightfully part of the top interior designers in the Netherlands and is a regular guest speaker at industry-related training courses and events.
Within the broad spectrum of "interior design", DE JUUL Interior Design specializes in renovation projects in which the passion for and knowledge of historic architecture and building styles are expressed stylishly and authentic homes are restored.
DE JUUL Interior Design believes that everyone deserves to live in a house that suits him or her perfectly so they can enjoy it for years to come. Not working from fleeting trends, but from the style and personal wishes of the home owner - from classic to modern - while respecting his or her day-today routines.
In addition, the launch of its own furniture line in 2011 resulted in extensive attention from interior professionals and the press for the iconic DE JUUL design armchair. DE JUUL now also designs furniture for leading interior-related brands.
