Saint Gobain Gyproc

We aim to be the preferred choice for interior and light weight building systems that provide innovative and sustainable design solutions. Saint-Gobain Gyproc (Pty) Ltd is a leader in the manufacturing of lightweight building materials and manufactures energy conserving Rhinoboard for all interior lining applications, from ceilings, walls to thermal drylining. These products and systems are entrenched and have been proven in the colder climates of the world. To remain a major player, Gyproc persistently reacts to changing market needs, while pushing boundaries through research, system development, testing and two-way communication at all levels. Installations have been made easy with Gyproc's System Solutions which meet the cost, performance and aesthetic requirements for the internal lining of colossal office blocks, breathtaking shopping centers and stylish homes. These innovative and versatile System Solutions not only enhance the built environment with their superior advantages and flexibility of design, but offer the user comfort in the knowledge that they have been tried, tested and backed by 80 years of experience and knowledge of the industry. Gyproc has 4 factories, namely: Gyproc Germiston, Gyproc Cape Town, Gyproc Brakpan and Donn. Gyproc fully complies to, and holds, both the ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental system certificates. The company proudly boasts the following projects as part of its portfolio: Air France Lounge at OR Tambo airport; Highveld Mall; Torres do Atlantico; Luanda Angola; Investec Phase II; FNB Citi Bank Fairlands. Some of the prestigious developments that have used our residential drywalling and ceiling systems are the Michelangelo Towers and apartments, the Raphael in Sandton, the new 5 star Holiday Inn in Sandton, the Radisson Hotel in Sandton and Port Elizabeth, and the Cape Royale Hotel and apartments in Cape Town. Gyproc was acquired by French giant Saint-Gobain in December 2005. Since 1665 the group has fundamentally been at the forefront of successive technological innovations. Saint-Gobain operates as a designer, manufacturer and distributor of functional materials addressing the needs of industrial and trade clients. Saint-Gobain's purchase of Gyproc results in the creation of the world's leading interior building solutions group.
