El proyecto que te traigo hoy va de cómo rehabilitar una fachada manteniendo la estética original del edificio. Se trata de la fachada de una comunidad de vecinos en la calle Txomin Garat de Bilbao, y como puedes ver en las imágenes, tiene frentes de terraza con forma de diamante. ¿Curioso no? Dicen que los diamantes duran para siempre, pero claro, en este caso los frentes de terraza tienen una antigüedad de más de 60 años, y aunque tengan forma de diamante está claro que no lo son. A world premiere for Kokon Architecture & Urban Design, Helder Vastgoed and Bruil: in January 2022, the upgrading of two dated apartment buildings in Den Helder, the Netherlands, started by means of 3D printed concrete balconies and widened galleries. The project will be carried out while apartments remain inhabited. Worldwide, this is the largest project to date in the field of 3D concrete printing and the first time that the technique will be applied this way. The transformation will extend the life span of the buildings by 50 years. Located in Châtelaine's district in Geneva, Cedar Housing responds to a residential zone's upcoming densification. With projects for small buildings and commercial activities nearby, the area, now characterized by individual houses, is set to change. Cedar Housing is the first dwelling of its kind. It reenacts adjoining houses' typology to offer a gradual shift towards a denser urban plan.    Cedar Housing, as its name reveals, is centered on a centenary-old cedar. The tree tells of the history of the site and gives it stamina. It was fundamental to preserve and to highlight, which influenced the design of the building considerably. Such duplex garden floor flat located at one of the central spots of Teşvikiye, is designed in the intimate atmospheres of old Teşvikiye houses although situated within premises of a new building structure. Benefiting from the advantage of being a newly constucted building, the residence was fictionalized in such a manner that the entire infrastructure within the house is compatible with the requirements of its residences and designed from the stairs to the dimensions of its window frames. The 13Chenar residential project referred to us when the construction process was suspended due to the client dissatisfaction. The building was designed by bubble deck system which liberates the interior from structural elements and moved them toward the edges of slabs.They just finished the fourth slab when they asked us to revise their project. We refused to design just a simple facade and proposed a serious set of changes both in architecture and facade. In Gheisizadeh residential apartment project, our main effort was to provide the maximum possible outdoor space to the residents, while creating the maximum visual privacy from outside to inside. The initial idea was to create a flexible and variable building façade. The goal of this project was to transform an existing storage on the roof of a residential apartment to a livable place. Considering the fact that existing space was very limited, design team initial concept was to incorporate all the residential required spaces in such a small space. Unlike the typical process of dividing the space into various spaces, and each space for one specific activity, 45 sqm. home offers one single space which changes constantly based on different functions and activities. The new neighborhood at the foot of Stuttgart’s Relenberg is defined and characterized by the broad expanse of green space in which its buildings are situated. Clear design principles such as modular proportions, earth-tone stucco facades and tall windows create an enclave of high architectural quality and diverse in-between spaces. A former scientific institute, preserved as a cultural landmark, stands at the entrance to a small plaza that leads to the semi-public gardens within.
