For me, inspiration is focused on the clients and their needs; without leaving aside the sustainability and the quality in the design. The way to approach the projects is through the consideration of the economic, environmental, cultural and urban context.
No project is the same so I do not define a style, but the way in which through the investigation of the site, the requirements of the clients and the simulation of various proposals are giving form and meaning to the decisions that are taken as throughout the project.
I am clear that a constant reflection is required that is not only acquired when working on different scales, but also in conceptual projects in different contexts.
In parallel I consider that the technology applied to the design process today plays a very important role to make the projects more efficient, which allows us to make informed decisions that facilitate the work, so I develop all the designs through the BIM methodology ( Building Information Modeling) with a focus on sustainability that allows LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental design) certification if necessary.
Finally, I consider a fundamental part of my practice to share my experiences and knowledge, which is why teaching is very important for me, and that is why I currently work as a professor at the School of Architecture, UNAM, besides providing the service of Consulting on Design, BIM and Sustainability issues.
