Connecting the Dots publishis and presents Dutch designers and design-culture internationally during key design events and fairs. Our activities are aways content driven with a curiousity to express the latest developments in design culture. Connectiing the Dots does also organise exhiibitions, debates and networking events.
In 2010 Connecting the Dots started as a magazine to promote Dutch designers during the Milan Design Week and was commissioned by NL Agency, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
The impact of the first magazine was big as it was the first serious attempt to map all Dutch presentations in Milan and to give insight to the Dutch design culture. Its success lead to a various editions during the London Design Festival, the Business of Design Week Hong Kong, the Guangzhou Design Week and the Milan Design Week. At the moment we are preparing #7 for the Milan Design Week 2013.
Connecting the Dots was founded by David Heldt in 2012. David Heldt was co-founder of the organisation Tuttobene in 2006 and has organised international exhibitions, trade presentations and various publications since 1999 (Nagoya, Tokyo, Milan, Turin, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Guangzhou). We hope to widen our activities for more international events in the near future!
