The Frame Kitchen has been complemented by a sophisticated etched glass top and a shelf-shaped hood by Falmec. All of the items can be customized with 35 exclusive finishes.
The Frame collection designed by Salvatore Indriolo was launched in 2018 and it has been expanded in the following years, with the addition of numerous new product types, colours and details. The famous kitchen workstation is being presented with a fresh look in 2023, with a fully tone-on-tone colour scheme thanks to a new etched glass top in a matching hue. As well as being silky smooth to the touch, the refined, elegant finish is durable and easy to clean. Available for both of the workstation models (two modules with a width of 128 cm and three modules with a width of 188 cm), the new glass top paves the way to the monochrome vision that the designer always had in mind, as Salvatore Indriolo himself confirmed:
“Ever since I started working with Fantin ten years ago, I have combined a monochrome approach with minimal designs in all of the collections. Consequently, over the years the broad colour palette has increasingly become one of Fantin’s distinguishing features, making an ever more crucial contribution to ensuring that every product is versatile and suitable for every setting. In 2018, the Frame Kitchen was presented with a steel top as an exception to this rule because it is practical and chromatically neutral, so it is an ideal match for all colour options in the bases. At the time it was too soon for monochrome designs, because introducing a second material with such a wide range – no fewer than 35 finishes – would have been rather rash. After five years of huge commercial success, we are now eager to tie in the Frame Kitchen with one of the visual cornerstones of all Fantin collections by establishing a monochrome dialogue between metal and glass. The new pairing will be available alongside the established one with a steel top.”
Another new addition to the Fantin kitchen range is the Shelf hood by Falmec, which is also available in the brand’s 35 different shades. It joins a selection of accessories and appliances by such prestigious names in the field as Barazza, AEG and Electrolux.
The key distinguishing features of the items in the Frame collection are their solid square tube frames, which are always visible in what is essentially a tribute to the frame itself and the metal from which it is made. The latter material embodies the essence of Fantin, which has been working with it for more than 50 years. Fantin has taken things to a whole new level in recent years thanks to the work done with its Creative Director Salvatore Indriolo, who followed three simple rules when he designed the Frame collection:
1. All of the frames are made from square tubes and they can all be used to form right-angled structures for an endless array of products, from tables and sideboards to kitchen workstations and mirrors.
2. The vertical parts (doors, drawers, sides and backboards) are inset and flush with the frames.
3. The horizontal parts (table and kitchen tops) rest on top of the frames, which are always on show.
On top of all this, Fantin products offer sustainability on every front. Taking an environmentally friendly approach is a top priority for the company and one of the ways in which it goes about it is through the use of 100% recyclable metal and cutting-edge production technologies such as the coating system. The latter uses nothing but non-toxic coatings that are free of heavy metals and it boasts an innovative internal recycling system that enables it to reduce its consumption of powder-based colours.
