A lean geometric architectural configuration, rising majestically out of the rugged, reddish terrain of southern Majorca.

This is a holiday retreat, a complete work comprising a 600m² villa with courtyard, swimming pool, sunken tennis court and landscaping.

The work stands like a strong medieval castle, its massive walls pierced by small window openings. Finished in the local Santanyí stone – a reddish limestone that matches the surrounding soil – the house achieves harmony with its setting through the use of these natural materials.

The visitor is invited to approach the house on foot, along the 110m absolutely straight, stepped stone path. Parallel to the path, and extending along its entire length, looms a freestanding wall, enhancing the incline down away from the house.
One enters the villa through a narrow slit that opens into a roofless 12m² atrium with 9m-high walls. To one side of the house, a 30m-long pool dramatically projects towards the horizon.
