Our proposal for the Heidelberg Footbridge not only creates a functional structure, but also a unique opportunity to connect traffic route and stay together. The 600-meter long ­pedestrian and cyclist deck is a succession of urban situations and atmospheres: parks, street spaces, short narrow passages and wide riverside promenades. The pedestrian bridge acts as an “urban link”, creating an efficient and smooth connection between the two river banks with places to linger. Hotel Vellum Wave is a five-star architectural marvel located on the tranquil shores of the Oslo Fjord. The building’s fluid, ribbon-like balconies emulate the gentle undulations of water, making it a harmonious addition to the natural Nordic landscape. Designed by an avant-garde Scandinavian studio, the structure uses locally sourced dark stone and reflective glass to blend modern luxury with eco-conscious principles. Contemporary oasis involved constructing and designing an opulent house that focused on maximizing access to natural light with skylight and floor to ceiling windows allowing sunlight to flood in. With five bedrooms and other semi private family spaces, the layout was segregated such that all rooms connected to a passage on each floor. As a result of a geometric interpretation of Oscar Niemeyer’s building, a metallic biombo–made of natural aluminum profiles and reused galvanized steel sheets–duplicates the store’s curvilinear window shop and reveals its construction through straight segments. Two openings and a mirror break up its regular structure. This area is congested with vehicles especially during peak hours of work activities such as morning and evening. Located on a quiet street in the Batel neighborhood of Curitiba, the building has a family-friendly scale with only six floors. Each floor contains four apartments, measuring 52.6 and 67.5 m², two of which face the street, while the other two overlook the Batel perimeter. The rooftop is dedicated to the common area, offering all residents the best views. This London Refurbishment by Studio 3A is a bold yet sensitive refurbishment of a Victorian semi-detached home in Fulham, London. Designed for a young family, the project transforms a dark, segmented house into a warm, light-filled space rich in materiality and character. We were approached by residents to transform a typical condominium house from the late 1990s, with wooden roofs with many slopes and small windows and doors, into a house with contemporary architecture adapted to the family's needs in 2021.
