From Parking Spaces to Green Mobility Hubs Urban parking spaces—often exceeding 500m² of asphalt allocated exclusively for vehicle storage—offer no provisions for pedestrians or urban activities. The VePa parking system is dedicated to tackle these inefficiencies, rethinking parking and charging, thereby reshaping the urban environment. Sberbank, the largest financial institution in Russia, commissioned Evolution Design to create a representative entrance to two adjoining high-rise towers that form part of Sberbank City, Sberbank’s new campus on Kutuzovsky Avenue in Moscow. The Swiss architecture and design studio Evolution Design has developed a new workplace concept for the financial consultant zeb for their various offices in Central and Eastern Europe. The implementation of the new concept has recently been completed in the first three offices located in Zurich, Berlin and Munich. The new workplace concept was developed in an interactive co-creation process together with a team of zeb employees. With its wide walls of glass and a ribbon-like white façade that winds its way around the building, this home is so light and mobile in appearance that it resembles a futuristic vessel that has sailed in from the lake and found itself a natural place to dock. The land is at the edge of the village where housing meets the countryside. The railway lines behind the plot are a dynamic yet soothing boundary, and in front of the house there is a local access road and the lake. The building reflects all that movement. Set in the very best walking area of the beautiful North Pennines, just a short walk from the famous High Force Waterfall, this stunning chapel conversion with its historic building fabric and modern interior design is a real Teesdale jewel.
