Our task was to create a dream hotel on a limited coastal plot. The place where the ocean meets the sky and the wildness of nature intertwines with the centuries-old traditions of Bali became a source of inspiration and at the same time determined the architectural solutions. We wanted each room to offer guests a panoramic view of the ocean, and the building itself to blend organically into the surrounding landscape.
The concept is based on the symbol of the wings of Garuda, a mythical creature from Balinese legends that embodies strength, protection, and spiritual freedom. We combined this image with modern architectural forms, using traditional roofing and finishing materials to preserve authenticity in the conservative region of the island.
This year, Virgin Beach Hotel gained recognition at the prestigious Asia Pacific Property Awards, ranking among the best projects in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 100 experts in architecture, design, and development recognized it for:
- combining myth-inspired architecture with engineering precision and modern technology;
- deep respect for the nature and culture of Bali, embodied in every detail;
- design focused on a unique guest experience;
- the implementation of BIM technologies and sustainable engineering solutions that made it possible to build on a complex coastal site.
Virgin Beach Hotel is not just about the beauty of form. It is about content, about new standards of hospitality and impressions that remain with guests forever. Here, architecture becomes history, nature becomes a partner, and every moment becomes part of a grand design.
