Located in Park Way, Brasília, the Cambraia Social Space is situated on a 20,000m² family property. This pavilion was designed as a multifunctional environment, serving as a gathering point for the family and a space for celebration and socialization, providing moments of leisure and relaxation for residents and their guests.
Guided by the placement of the existing house and the pool to be renovated, the pavilion's positioning aimed to enhance the relationship with nature and the pre-existing architecture, ensuring the best flow for residents and visitors, and adapting to the natural characteristics of the land.
The program, focused on leisure, included a large social hall with a games room, living and dining areas, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, and pizza oven, inviting family culinary experiences. Additionally, a tennis court and a complete renovation of the existing pool were planned. The layout emphasizes continuous views that encompass both the new project elements and the existing residence.
Inspired by the modernist residence already present on the site, we adopted a minimalist approach, featuring a single-story building with exposed concrete, white masonry, rustic granite flooring, and glass frames that enhance natural light, integration between spaces, and the proposed landscaping. Additionally, a simple steel and concrete walkway was designed to connect the two buildings, providing greater comfort for residents.
To further highlight the local landscape and promote better ventilation and natural lighting, the central volume of the slab was slightly offset, providing open views of the sky in the center of the social space. Other natural attributes of the project were also utilized, such as the relationship with the abundant vegetation and the existing watercourse, which is redirected to the pool and natural water shower.
The architecture of the Cambraia Social Space was conceived to offer a flexible environment, suitable for both relaxation and leisure and celebration. In this environment where the family's history and future unite, our goal is to promote, through architecture, a place of unity and the creation of new cherished memories.
