The renovation and expansion of Kavalier Boutique is a delicate intervention into the historical context near Znesinnya Park. We created a hybrid format unique to Lviv: a combination of a boutique hotel and private residences with full-service hospitality.
Through cascading heights and 'invisible' logistics, the complex ensures absolute privacy while preserving views of the historic Church of the Ascension. It is a space where the functionality of hotel-level service becomes a seamless part of everyday life.
Rather than being defined by a single function, Kavalier unfolds as a layered spatial narrative — one where hospitality, living, and public life are carefully interwoven. This complexity was recognized at the European Property Awards 2020–2021, where the project received distinctions in four categories: Best Mixed Use Architecture, Best Hotel Architecture, Best Apartment/Condominium, and Best Commercial Renovation/Redevelopment in Ukraine. Together, these awards reflect not only the architectural quality of individual components, but the strength of their integration. By transforming an existing context into a cohesive and vibrant environment, Kavalier demonstrates how contemporary architecture can move beyond isolated objects to shape meaningful, experience-driven urban places.
