Afterlife
The building is primarily constructed from concrete, providing a durable and long-lasting structure. Most interior elements and furnishings are freestanding, allowing for flexible reconfiguration of the floorplan. This flexibility ensures that the spaces, originally designed as a clothing showroom, can be easily adapted for different future programs, such as offices, galleries, or other commercial uses, without significant structural modifications.
Glass façades, wall panels, suspended ceiling elements, and freestanding interior components can all be detached from the concrete structure, allowing for reuse or recycling at the end of their life. Similarly, the green roof system and rooftop PV panels are modular and can be removed or upgraded without major structural interventions. This approach supports a flexible, long-lasting building that can contribute to a circular economy by minimizing waste and enabling component-level recycling or repurposing.
