Traditional local art of mat weaving
step 0, One of our challenges was to control the privacy and visibility of the neighbors into the residential units. And we also want to prevent the cutting of trees during the construction process.
stage 1, By changing the path of the stairs on the first floor, we made it possible to have a lobby. (Before this, it was not possible to have a lobby. ) On the other hand, we provided a separated pedestrian entrance.
stage 3, In most apartments, privacy and visibility are controlled by curtains. We brought this curtain from the interior to the exterior. We weaved the curtain on the building.
stage 4, As negative spaces that are reduced from the external curtain, we created the terraces. (Except for the ground floor, which was shrunk due to the change of the stairs in the first stage)
