Adaptive Reuse and Flexible Design Considerations
The axis that defines the Casa Noar office is the main room, open in a way that integrates the work of the entire team, making the flow quite dynamic. Connected to this room are the kitchen, the filing area, and, removed from the more intense work pace, the reception area, as well as the meeting and administration room. Thus, the interior of the "house" has a continuous layout, entirely interconnected by the large main room, so that all spaces are connected to the large work area. This layout, which promotes communication between the environments, has great potential for adaptation to other uses, simply by modifying the furniture and compositional elements. The Noar space has been used, in addition to work, for parties, gatherings, classes, workshops, and meetings, offering space and resources for the use of various household appliances and devices, within an electrical system that runs throughout the building, including tables and the interiors of cabinets. The steel frame structure of the building also enables flexibility and ease in intervening with the building, making maintenance of any installation straightforward.
Disassemblable Elements for Circular Economy
The Casa Noar building was entirely constructed using Steel Frame, a technique that promotes a clean and cost-effective construction process, reducing the amount of waste generated and the inherent waste of traditional construction methods. The steel used is 100% recyclable, meaning the building contributes to a sustainable future by enabling the reuse of its structure and supporting the circular economy.
