Embodied carbon

Low Carbon

Set across a 178-acre site, the Government Complex reports total carbon emissions of 24,160 kgCO2e.

TGC prioritises recycled materials, energy-efficient systems, and renewable energy. Over 30 percent of construction materials are recycled, including structural concrete, steel, and precast flooring, while 65 percent are locally sourced, reducing carbon emissions associated with manufacturing and transport.

A low-embodied carbon TPO roofing membrane (3.02 kgCO2e/m²) further reduces material impact.

Operational Emissions / Energy

Low Carbon

In the new parking buildings, solar power supplies 53.4 percent of energy demand, supported by LED lighting and passive design strategies that contribute to an 87 percent reduction in operational energy use. Together, these measures reflect TGC’s approach to circularity, decarbonisation, and long-term environmental performance.
