Adaptive Reuse and Flexible Design Considerations
The Fenix Museum's design anticipates its future use through highly adaptable floor plans. Within the revitalised warehouse, its open spaces allow for easy reconfiguration, division, or adaptation to suit diverse programs in the future. This flexibility extends the building's functional lifespan, ensuring its long-term versatility and efficient resource use.
Disassemblable Elements for Circular Economy
While the primary circular strategy is the adaptive reuse of the original building, elements such as the modular glazing systems, Kebony wood cladding, and flexible interior partitions offer potential for future disassembly and reuse, facilitating their re-entry into a circular economy.
