Afterlife
The project is itself an adaptive reuse of an existing structure. The design prioritised future adaptability by rationalising the cores and creating an open floor plan, which allows the space to be flexible and suitable for different programs over time.
The project's highlights commitment to circular economy principles through material reuse—specifically, the integration of 40 tonnes of salvaged structural steel. However, it does not detail any design strategies for the deconstruction or disassembly of the new elements.
