The building will achieve net-zero operational emissions, powered entirely by renewable energy from a New York State hydroelectric plant. It uses energy-efficient facades, triple-pane glazing, automatic solar shades and optimised HVAC systems to reduce energy consumption. Advanced water storage and reuse systems will help reduce its water consumption by over 40% in comparison to similar-sized buildings.
