Operational emissions have been reduced by constructing the buildings to Passive House standards and KfW Efficiency House 40, which ensure very low heating and cooling demand. Additional measures include triple-glazed windows, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (Airflow DUPLEX Multi Eco-N 3500 and SMART Box modules), and connection to the district’s renewable-based heating network. Buildings are equipped with rooftop photovoltaic systems, and the compact mixed-use block design contributes to energy efficiency.
