Afterlife
The retained concrete structure is conceived as a long-term, robust framework that can accommodate evolving programs beyond its current use as a tram stop. Its open layout, structural clarity, and minimal internal subdivision allow for flexible adaptation, such as small-scale retail, temporary uses, or alternative public functions.
Interventions are limited and reversible where possible, ensuring that future modifications can be implemented without significant structural impact. The spatial configuration remains simple and legible, supporting continued use and transformation over time without requiring major reconstruction.
Timber elements, including the integrated seating and cladding, are mechanically fixed and can be removed, repaired, or reused with minimal effort. Glazing systems are installed as discrete components, allowing for replacement or recycling at the end of their service life.
Material selection and detailing prioritize separation of components, avoiding composite assemblies that would hinder reuse. This approach supports the reintegration of elements into material cycles and extends their lifespan beyond the project itself.
