Embodied carbon
The calculation was carried out by ALTO Ingénierie as part of a static LCA in accordance with the French E+C- regulatory framework. The INIES database was used. All built floor areas are included in these values, based on the Gross Floor Area.

Afterlife
The EDENN project was designed from the outset with a strong capacity for adaptation over time. The layout of the office floors is based on a regular grid and open spaces, allowing a high degree of flexibility in fit-out. The building can therefore accommodate either a single tenant or be divided into multiple units for multi-tenant configurations.
This reversibility is made possible by a clear structural system, efficient circulation, and a services distribution that supports different spatial configurations without major transformation. The project prioritizes an architecture that carries its own identity, limiting the need for specific fit-outs, which facilitates programmatic changes and extends the building’s lifespan.
The project integrates several principles supporting the circular economy, both through reuse and the potential for disassembly of certain elements. Reused materials have been incorporated from the design stage, including joinery façades in the restrooms, sandstone paving, gabions, and certain raised floors.
In addition, many elements are designed to be demountable or replaceable, such as raised floors, suspended ceilings, cable trays, and certain wood finishes. This approach facilitates maintenance, the evolution of interior layouts, and the future recovery of components, thereby contributing to more sustainable resource management.
