Afterlife

From a design logic perspective, the building is not conceived as a fixed-use object but as a reprogrammable structural framework. The key principle is the separation between a durable, permanent infrastructural core and a more flexible, replaceable programmatic layer. This distinction allows the project to evolve beyond its initial function as a vertical eco-village. Vertical farming infrastructures, hydroponic units, and greenhouse elements are not fixed installations but detachable systems that can be removed or replaced when the program shifts. This allows productive landscapes to be reinterpreted as cultural, social, or commercial spaces in a future scenario where food production is relocated or reduced.

The project can explicitly differentiate between permanent, semi-permanent, and reversible components, ensuring that a significant share of the building enters circular material flows at end-of-life or during programmatic change.
