Afterlife
The project was developed with reuse and longevity in mind. Wherever possible, existing furniture and fittings were retained rather than replaced. The original tables were restored and their tops renewed, the existing sofas were reupholstered, and the bar was retained and incorporated into the new interior. This approach reduced unnecessary waste while giving existing elements a new life within the redesigned space. The loose furniture can also be refinished, reupholstered or adapted again in the future rather than being discarded.
A significant proportion of the interior consists of reusable and adaptable elements rather than permanent installations. Existing tables, seating and the bar were retained and refurbished as part of the project. Loose furniture can be removed, repaired, refinished or reupholstered independently, extending its lifespan and allowing it to be reused in future interiors.
