Afterlife
Adaptive Reuse and Flexible Design Considerations
The existing house was devided into two residential units of different sizes, that allow for future rotation based on the residents‘ life stages and household sizes without the need of further structural modifications in the future.
Disassemblable Elements for Circular Economy
All new construction adheres to the principles of circular construction. Components are designed with detachable connections to allow
for their removal without damage during future changes. For example, the underfloor heating system is designed as a detachable and demountable assembly. Robust assemblies ensure the structure’s longevity.
