Foster + Partners has completed ICÔNE, a new office complex in Belval, Luxembourg. The 18,800 square-metre office building, filled with light and greenery, encourages a spirit of co-creation and collaboration. Its layout addresses the need for flexible and safe working environments that will emerge in the future. It also references the rich industrial heritage of Belval, revitalising the area by making a positive contribution to the site and its surroundings. Het gebouw produceert 30% van haar eigen energie, heeft een systeem voor regenwaterrecyclage en voldoet aan de passiefhuisstandaard. They decided to invest in a people-centric workplace with a more relaxed and homely feel – a departure from their traditionally corporate identity - to support the Business Services employees. The prestigious neighbourhood of Warsaw’s Wola district, heritage buildings, historic streets, excellent commute to the rest of the city – the news of Allegro’s planned move from Q22 to the representative office buildings of the Norblin Factory complex has been around for a while. Soho Place is an enormous urban jigsaw that builds on the arrival of Crossrail to bolster the large-scale regeneration of Oxford Street’s eastern end. Two new mixed-use buildings frame a new civic plaza, Soho Place, amplifying the urban regeneration of Oxford Street, creating new urban vistas to St Patrick’s Church, and linking Charing Cross Road to Soho Square. Networx is their on-site facility that can be used by Network Rail to relieve pressure on the office’s meeting rooms and give employees an alternative environment to collaborate or rented to their partners for conferences and industry events. The Norwegian Press House (Pressenshus) is a transformation of two listed buildings from the 1880’s in the historic city center of Oslo. The buildings have been transformed into a new hub for media and press activities, with rooms for conferences, studios, meetings, and a café/restaurant. It also includes offices for 11 prominent media organizations in Norway, with room for approximately 200 people.
