Established in 1983, through the years AXIL has come to play a paramount role in the scenery of Italian furniture firms. The brand stands for high quality beds, and has a complete catalogue of over 40 models in double and single size versions, that are entirely produced in the firm’s factory in Meda. Thanks to its highly skilled workmanship, AXIL is among the leading companies setting a benchmark in the field of “Made in Italy” products. Still keeping a watchful eye on the market trends, the company nonetheless shuns passing fads and comes up with its own design philosophy, teaming up with the most reputable interior designers. All this allows the AXIL collections to be always up to date: a few models are considered as “cults”, and several years after their launch are still meeting with great success. The product range also includes a line of “natural” beds made with environment-friendly, biocompatible materials that appeal to people who feel more environment-conscious and favour a closer-to-nature lifestyle. Along the years – and partly in order to meet the customers’requests – the company has felt the need to focus more closely on the area of single beds, and has created a successful collection of bedroom/study beds that fulfil the needs of both teenagers and adults. Founded in order to specifically enhance the intrinsic value of AXIL products, the Research and Development Center represents a plus for the Company. Their own laboratories have turned out the orthopaedic slatted bed base (an Axil exclusive) in RPF (reinforced plastic fibreglass). This peculiar slat, in a single span, is an Axil patent and is manufactured with an inert material that is non-deformable with time, odourless, non-allergenic and non-conductive. This bed base offers the advantage of being built with easily removable slats, so as to allow an accurate cleaning inside the bed. The bed structure comes with a 10-year warranty. All the materials are certified and the whole production only employs Italian materials and manpower. In general, Axil beds come in a variety of models and sizes, in fixed-base or lift-up storage versions, as well as with the possibility of adding drawers or additional beds. The flexibility of the production division has always been a peculiarity of the Brand. From September 2010 Axil will distinguish itself with a new, completely revitalized mood in terms of communication and image. Design and fashion will live side by side within the brand and will lend it a “fashion and lifestyle” look. The high structural quality of Axil products, though, will remain unaltered, if not further emphasized by the new payoff: Letti Italiani. A new press campaign and an even more targeted planning, new products, and a more complete line of coordinated bed linens, as well as a whole series of accessories and other interior design items: these are the first novelties of the new company trend.
