Fasem is a firm of quality that entirely declares its own vocation for hide leather through products of international taste. Fasem is founded in 1976 at Vicopisano in Tuscany as an artisan workshop skilled in manufacturing seats in hide leather and metal. The name of the company is actually the acronym of Factory Seats Metal. In the Fasem production cohabit the handcraft care for the product, the meticulous attention for the detail and the culture of the taste typical of Tuscany. A region known all over the world for its beauties where the working skill for hide leather is a patrimony renowned in the course of ages, still greatly demanded by the buyers from all the world. Hide leather indeed is the protagonist of Fasem heart, that has in the saddlery department a real strategic keystone: the use of full grain hide leather, tanned with vegetable extracts and dyed in tan vat in order to maintain the colouring tonality. Inside the factory the saddlery department is entrusted to Master Saddlers of great skill and experience, who attend to leathers selection, cutting, sewing, bordering. All manufacturing stages relating to the treatment and processing of hide leather are manually executed, it means that each Master Saddler can be engaged up to 6 hours for carrying out every single product. Also the complete manufacturing process relating to the metal workmanship takes place in Vicopisano. The chromium-plating division, one of Fasem flagships, assures excellent results from the aesthetical and qualitative point of view as well as concerning the environment protection. This care of Fasem for the environment has been already pointed out in 2005 with the decision of using the trivalent chromium for all galvanic processings. Hide leather and metal, declined with the best manufacturing quality, are the grounds of the firm philosophy, based on the continuous researches about workmanship, materials, new technologies and quality, that marks the complete product engineering cycle and all the manufacture processings. In its 30 years of history Fasem has joined together handcraft tradition with technological innovation, quality and skill, building up a solid patrimony made of image and identity, that allows the company to be present on the international markets as an Italian leader in the production of design furniture.
